Behind the Design

The design is inspired by Indonesia's extraordinary volcanic landscape, home to more than 130 active volcanoes—the highest concentration of active volcanoes in the world. For generations, these mountains have shaped both the land and the culture, earning deep respect from the communities that live alongside them. Referencing the monumental 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora, one of history's most powerful volcanic events, the graphic reflects the enduring relationship between nature's immense force and the resilience of the people who call these islands home.
