Behind the Design

The graphic is inspired by the historic 1883 eruption of Krakatau, one of the most significant volcanic events in recorded history. The eruption dramatically reshaped the Sunda Strait, destroying much of the Krakatau archipelago and leaving a lasting impact on the surrounding coastal communities. This design pays tribute to the powerful natural forces that have shaped the region's landscape and history, transforming a defining historical event into a visual narrative that reflects both destruction and resilience.
