Behind the Design

The Indigo Cheongsam marks our first fully handcrafted collection, developed from the ground up through close collaboration with local artisans. Reinterpreting the timeless cheongsam silhouette, the piece combines traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary perspective.

Each garment is made from handwoven fabric, carefully produced using traditional weaving techniques before being hand-dyed with natural indigo. The fabric is immersed in multiple indigo dye baths over three to four days, allowing the color to develop gradually into a deep, rich indigo tone. This slow and deliberate process highlights the beauty of natural dyeing, where every piece carries subtle variations that make it truly one of a kind. The result is a garment that celebrates heritage, craftsmanship, and the enduring character of natural materials.
